Woody
WOODY is Slalom’s latest sound-absorbing wall system. This innovative product combines fabric and FSC® wood, embodying material reuse and low environmental impact through exceptionally thin materials. Its grooved surface, created via a patent-pending thermoforming technique, provides acoustic comfort, and a pleasant tactile and visual experience. These features express Slalom’s Acoustethics philosophy, blending aesthetics, acoustic well-being, and ethics.
Designed primarily for the contract sector, WOODY offers ready-to-use solutions that balance costs and quality assurance. As with all Slalom projects, WOODY covers vertical surfaces without visible joints, facilitating easy installation and removal.
WOODY’s design is inspired by Slalom’s collaboration with architects and its ethical mission, focusing on regenerated wood: FSC® certified pine from responsibly managed forests. This marks Slalom’s commitment to bio-based materials and a notable revival in wood use in interior design. The distinctive grooved effect, reminiscent of 20th-century design masterpieces, has been pioneered by Slalom in several best-sellers.
WOODY represents Slalom’s dedication to using wood without waste, aligning with the brand’s values and contributing to the ongoing debate about wood’s aesthetic appeal and environmental impact.
