Wind Digester

Zurück Download

Wind Digester is designed to divert and reduce the enormous wind pressure on the surface of tall buildings, and conduct the wind to a generator, thereby utilising this natural wind energy to generate electricity for indoor use. The energy consumption of air-conditioning systems and electric lighting in commercial buildings accounts for 60 to 70 percent of total energy consumption. The outer peripheral area (the spatial area that is 5 metres inward from the facade) is the most energy-consuming. This is because the glass curtain facade allows heat radiation to enter but not exit the building, thus creating a greenhouse that can only be cooled by large-capacity air conditioners. As a solution, Wind Digester uses fabric and power generation devices to adjust the amount of natural light exposure, effectively reducing the energy consumption of air conditioners, and it also uses convection generators to directly transfer electricity to the internal systems.
