Hand-Drawn Animation
Views of China
This 2D animation, which was created during a six-month stay in China, is composed of eleven hand-drawn loops. The short film sums up the manifold impressions gained abroad. Blending smoothly into one another, the images provide insights into Chinese architecture, culture, religion, and engagement with nature. Through the loving implementation, drawn frame by frame, the animation reveals a great inner involvement. Viewers are taken onto an emotional rollercoaster ride, which holds much fascination but also recognises points of conflict.
