UNI MULA - Aluminum Extrusion Electric Urban Bicycle

Urban cyclists often need ample storage for daily commutes. By redesigning the bicycle frame, the aim is to create a user-friendly and versatile cycling experience. UNI MULA presents an innovative electric bicycle using aluminium extrusions as a foundational design element to reimagine urban mobility. The main frame structure and its connectors have been redesigned for quick and easy accessory replacement and repositioning, minimising restrictions and simplifying attachment. Inspired by aluminium extrusion structures used in factory machinery, this concept is seamlessly integrated into the bicycle frame. The top tube, seat tube, and down tube form a ring shape, enabling connectors to be slid and adjusted freely. Common aluminium extruded connectors from machine tools are transformed into an interactive structure between the accessories and the frame. Fast and secure fasteners with essential urban cycling accessories are seamlessly incorporated, enabling users to slide, secure, adjust, and disassemble accessories effortlessly along the tracks. This design enhances the bike’s versatility and customisation options, offering a highly functional and personalised electric bicycle tailored to city living demands. Paired with an electric assistance system, it makes city travel and bike customisation easy and convenient.
