Digital Business Report
The Game Report
With the aim of finding new business partners for game developing start-up Bytro Labs, “The Game Report” was developed that incorporates a combination of annual report and computer game. It emerged as an expressive medium that demonstrates the programming and business skills of the client and offers users two ways of experience it. The execution focuses on editing the business report in text form so that its data could be used as programming parameters; the data was then combined with the source code of an exclusively developed game concept and design into a single file. This allowed users to switch between text and game form by changing the file extension from .txt to .html. The resulting file of “The Game Report” was sent out to more than 500 potential business partners, industry opinion leaders and the media. Through a contact form at the end, the conversation was continued on a personal level.
Begründung der Jury
“The Game Report” comes in the form of an annual report that can be switched into a game by simply changing the file extension, thus offering users a multilayered experience. The implementation emerged as a sophisticated solution both in terms of design and technically. “The Game Report” successfully manages to communicate the portfolio of the client and consistently pursue the aim of finding new business partners.
