The Followers
“The Followers” sets out to illustrate the modern societal phenomena of a “blind following”. In the process of interpersonal interaction, it is often easy to lose sight of individual critical judgement. Over time, this translates into a form of laziness with people drifting along and conforming to a herd mentality. In order to visualise this process, this video shows the leading character observing incidents happening in the surrounds as a bystander, but not wanting to be caught in the middle. The aim is to have viewers reflect by dint of the question “Is there anything people can persist in or gain under its influence, or is there only something to lose?”
