This organically produced rice draws attention to itself through packaging that specifically focuses on recycling. The die-formed carton is made from chaff, a natural by-product in rice production. The embossed shape, which looks like a grain of rice, the graphic lines and burnt-on labelling have both a visual and a tactile appeal for customers. With a mixture of rustic and refined elements, the earth-coloured box underlines the value of the local product. A small rice sack inside features matching printed lettering. Once the sack is empty, the package can be reused as a tissue box.
