SMART Project – Pediatric Growth Chart App

Developed for the SMART Project, this pediatric growth chart app helps clinicians get an accurate overview of a child’s growth patterns, yet it is simple enough to communicate data meaningfully to parents. The app combines the best parts of the old analogue tool with all the benefits of modern information technology. Personal growth charts can be overlapped with several different growth chart standards, including those from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and for children with Down’s syndrome. A clear view of the data is offered, making vital information available in an intelligible way, without neglecting the complexities of pediatrics. A “parental view” further breaks down the charts and presents data with simple visuals in an engaging way.
