Seven Rooms
“Seven Rooms” is a narrative by Otsuichi, a Japanese author. The story is about a little boy and his sister who find themselves trapped in a small concrete room. There are seven rooms in all, each containing a different prisoner – and everyone is to be massacred. In the intro, the plot is translated into a purely graphic concept. Lines and squares indicate the rooms. By flickering to the beat of electronic sounds, the abstract figures capture the attention of the viewers. Furthermore, the minimalist design radiates a disturbing cold atmosphere which anticipates the mood of the upcoming events.
