Sandvik, founded in 1862, has grown from a traditional industrial company into a world-leading supplier of automation and digitalisation to the mining, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. The new brand positioning “We make the shift – advancing the world through engineering” as well as the new visual brand identity are an expression of this transformation. The word mark is inspired by the Sandvik logo from 1962 and pays homage to the company’s heritage. It is flanked by a new symbol that represents progress based on technology and the circular economy. In addition to the logo and a new corporate typeface, a revised colour palette has been introduced: gold stands for quality, while the accent colours electric blue and vibrant orange ensure differentiation.
