Resolution Joss Paper Shop

Zurück Download

The realisation that many of today’s social problems are still yet to be solved or improved prompted the project “Resolution Joss Paper Shop”. Using prayers to symbolise the desire to tackle social issues, the project adopts the aesthetic of traditional Chinese paper products known as joss paper, or ghost money. These are sheets of paper traditionally used in Chinese cultures as burnt offerings to gods or to honour deceased family members to ensure their spirit has a good life in the next world. With an attractive, predominantly red and yellow design, the printed work aims to bring greater attention to social problems.
