Metamorph is personalised fashion accessory and ear stud that can be customised at any time to suit the event, dress and mood. With the help of an app, the look of the headset can be customised at any time to suit the user’s preferences, making it fitting for any occasion, clothing or mood. This is accomplished with the help of an e-ink display. Such displays have the following advantages over conventional displays: they do not consume power when displaying a static image (only changing images require power), and they have a wider viewing angle than most light-emitting displays. This makes them an ideal display for Metamorph because it is legible in direct sunlight without the image appearing to fade.
