Typeface
LIBERTYGRAPHY
The typeface LIBERTYGRAPHY is inspired by the typeface of marching slogans from Taiwan’s history. Its dynamic look is reminiscent of the masses in the social movement, who stood up for the democratisation and independence of their country. Thick strokes combined with rounded corners lend the typeface a smooth and rational appeal. The thick strokes on the right aim to symbolise the direction in which people march. The length-to-width ratio of the characters is 10:6 and the centre of gravity is on the left. Depending on the writing direction, the strokes on the right are thick and rounded.
