HEAT-TAC PAVING

HEAT-TAC PAVING has developed a heating system that prevents visually impaired people from falling on traditional tactile paving. On a snowy day, HEAT-TAC PAVING recharges itself using solar power, and the heating system activates. When the heating system is turned on, the silver grid embedded in the paving warms up and melts the snow. This keeps the visually impaired from falling on frozen and slippery tactile paving while also assisting them in detecting unevenness in the ground.
