Typeface
Founder Yuzhi Font
This Chinese typeface benefits from a particularly aesthetic structure. It has both thick and thin strokes, each one being curved on the right and straight on the left, combining hardness with softness. The typography design was inspired by a classic painting from the Tang Dynasty called “Ladies with Head-pinned Flowers”, as well as the script style of Yan Zhenqing, a traditional calligrapher. The sharp contours of each character create a dynamic and powerful impression. Nevertheless, the characters convey lightness even in large font sizes, which makes them also well suited for headlines.
