Doggy Leg

Zurück Download

Doggy Leg has a core structure designed with a special elastic plate that connects the upper thigh to the lower leg. This gives the animal prosthesis its flexibility, which maximises the force variation of the original leg when a physically handicapped dog is moving. With Doggy Leg’s unique elastic panels, dogs wearing them will feel the same continuous movement as their real legs in any sport, and thus provide a constant source of empowerment for these physically handicapped dogs. When the dog is in motion, the special elastic plate undergoes corresponding deformation as it is subjected to pressure at different angles, directions and intensity. This controls the change state of the thigh and calf section of the Doggy Leg prosthesis, thereby fulfilling the purpose of simulating and replacing the muscle. The deformable elastic plate deforms when the Doggy Leg lands on the ground, providing shock mitigation along with the dynamics of the other limb that is real. The deformable elastic plate restores its form when Doggy Leg takes off, providing power while cooperating with the dynamics of the other limb that is real. The overall structure of this bionic design combines the core elements of a bow, bionic prosthesis and sports prosthesis to give the dog a completely real sense of motion. Each part of the Doggy Leg aims to maximise the bionic design, and strives to bring about as authentic a physical feeling as possible. At the same time, the special elastic plate is used as a substitute for the muscle to adapt to the dog's movement habits, allowing any dog breed to maintain normal movement while providing comfortable cushioning when landing, bouncing and jumping.
