Another Folding Rear Seat

With the promotion of low carbon travel in urban life, bicycles have become the preferred means of transportation, but transporting children and companions on a bicycle is still a problem. This bike cushion design converts into three different forms through a simple folding mechanism designed based on a subtraction principle. Other than holding things, the basket can convert into seating for an adult or a child passenger. To convert, simply fold along the edge of the metal to create the “chair mode” that can be used by a child. Fold along the two corners to create a cushioned seat that can be used by an adult. The basket comprises three layers – the outer layer is a soft leather; the middle is a metal frame sheet that plays a fixed supporting role, and the inner layer is a waterproof canvas that can prolong the service life.
