Alive eliminates the high costs of traditional manual manufacturing processes by using 3D printing, which makes it simpler, cheaper, and faster to produce wheelchairs for dogs. It also results in a more appealing appearance. The dogs are first diagnosed, after which the appropriate wheelchair and customised options are determined. Alive then uses 3D scanning technology to obtain accurate body data for each dog. The parametric design system receives the body information and automatically generates a wheelchair that is unique to the dog.
