This poster announces a graduate exhibition at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is meant to be a snapshot of student days and at the same time an encouragement for the graduates, who struggled with the pandemic in their final year. Brightly coloured shapes with irregular edges play a key role in the visual concept, highlighting the artistic character of the event. Moreover, the torn pieces of paper refer to the tearing off of calendar pages and thus the passing of time. The striking contrast between the rough stripes and accurate lettering underlines the poster’s message and gives the exhibition a distinctive face.
